What is Mfood.ca?
Mfood.ca is a social good marketplace developed by Xover Technologies Inc., (Xover). Xover anticipates Mfood.ca will become the place where communities will come together to support the most vulnerable members particularly the school aged children, (the Recipients), of the society.
What is XoverPay digital wallet?
XoverPay digital wallet enables supporters of Mfood.ca to track and record all digital and physical transactions they have with participating merchants. These recorded transactions will help Mfood.ca to earn its agreed commission from the participating merchants, thus creating a revenue stream to help remove the Recipients from facing food insecurity.
Which city or municipality is Mfood.ca operating in?
We are currently supporting Recipients from the City of Surrey. Presently, we are working on a pilot project wi… physically segregated from any digital files that City Dream Centre and Xover will be receiving.
I have received approval and an authorization code from the school my child is attending. How do I register with Mfood.ca?
Please go to Mfood.ca and click on the signup button on the upper right hand corner. Please register yourself as an authorized user. You will need the authorization code to receive your Mfood.ca login and temporary password and the XoverPay digital wallet so you can transact either in the Mfood.ca marketplace or the physical location of any participating merchants.
How do I log into my account?
Once you have register with Mfood.ca, you will automatically direct to your account login page with a temporary password. When you complete the login process, you can then replace the temporary password with one that is chosen by you.
I have now registered as an authorized user for Mfood.ca. How do I purchase grocery items I need for my family?
Please go to the Groceries and/or the Meals section on the Mfood.ca website. Select the items and the quantity you and your family need for the week. Place the selected items in your shopping cart. When you are ready to check out, you will be prompted to select the coupon section of your designated XoverPay digital wallet to complete the purchase of the items you have selected.
For those items that you don’t have a coupon for or for items that exceed the value of the coupon, you will need to pay the amount owing under these circumstances. Therefore you will need to upload the appropriate amount of cash into your Xover digital wallet to complete the sales transaction.
How do I check the number and the value of the coupons that I am entitled to?
Through your XoverPay digital wallet, Mfood.ca will do a weekly deposit of coupons and their related value into your digital wallet. You can upload and review this list of coupons and compare them to your grocery list in your wish list that you can access through your Mfood.ca account. At that time, you will be able to see what items in your grocery list have been fulfilled by the weekly coupons made available by participating merchants to meet your shopping needs.
How and where do I get additional coupons for my XoverPay digital wallet?
For additional coupons to be uploaded to your XoverPay digital wallet, you can obtain them through Xovercoupons.com. If you have already used 100% of your coupon allotment, you may request the additional coupons to be deposited into your XoverPay digital wallet prior to your weekly coupon Allotments. Such requests might only be granted if there are any unassigned coupons available.
Can I use less than the full value of my designated coupon?
Full value of the coupon is always applied even when the grocery item is less expensive than the face value of the coupon. There is no residual value from the coupon once it has been used to purchase the grocery item.
How do I request for grocery items that are currently not offered by Mfood.ca merchants?
Please upload the product images, the quantity and the size of the grocery item you need. We will do our best to source out suppliers for this item and will notify you once we have the product available in Mfood.ca.
How do I sign up for a XoverPay digital wallet?
You can obtain a XoverPay digital wallet at the time when you registered as an authorized user from Mfood.ca. Alternatively, you can also obtain a XoverPay digital wallet from Xovertechnologies.com under the XoverPay tab.
How do I use the XoverPay digital wallet?
The XoverPay digital wallet enables the user to store their credit and/or debit cards in the wallet. In addition, the wallet also store the digital food coupons from participating grocery stores that can be used either at Mfood.ca, the grocery stores physical or web store.
How secured is the XoverPay digital wallet?
The XoverPay digital wallet has the same encryption as any bank apps. As well information stored is the digital wallet is also protected by 2 factor authentication.
Is my personal information secured?
We minimize a the amount of personal information being stored in Mfood.ca and the XoverPay digital wallet. However, all personal information stored at either Mfood.ca and/or XoverPay has the same encryption as any bank apps and are subject to two-factor authentication.
How do I use my XoverPay digital wallet to buy gift card?
Please go to Mfood.ca and click on the Gift Card tab. Please follow the instructions and when ready you can please the chosen gift card into the shopping cart and proceed to check out for completion of the sale.
How do I access my wish list through the XoverPay digital wallet?
Please go to the Wish List tab and enter your username and password information to gain access to the list.
How do I access my coupon list from the XoverPay digital wallet?
Please go to the Coupon tab and enter your username and password information to gain access to the list.
How do I use my Xover loyalty points in my XoverPay digital wallet?
Please go to the Loyalty tab and enter your username and password information to gain access to the loyalty points information.
Does the Mfood.ca ship or deliver the order?
No, Mfood.ca does not ship or deliver the order. Each participating merchant is responsible to package, ship, or deliver the order to the customer.
How does it work if I order from multiple stores?
When you checkout multiple items from multiple stores, an order will be created for each store to fulfill their respective items within your order. A confirmation tracking number will be issued and delivered by Mfood.ca to your preferred method of communication, telling you the order is ready and requesting delivery instruction.
I have purchased multiple items from different participating merchants with the Mfood.ca platform. How can I have these purchases deliver to my home if the merchants do not have the delivery capability or how can I receive all my items in a single delivery?
Mfood.ca will receive all purchase orders from participating merchants who are responsible to deliver their respective order to Mfood.ca. Once Mfood.ca has confirmed receipt of all purchase orders, it will contact you for delivery instruction. You can either pick up at a Mfood.ca designated location or have your purchase order deliver to an address of your choice. There may be a delivery charge in the range of $5 to $10 depending upon the distance.
How do I find my pickup time?
Mfood.ca will either email or text you in accordance to your check out instruction to inform you that your order is ready for pick up at the merchant’s location.
What happens when nobody inform me that my order is ready for pick up or delivery?
If you have not been contacted by either the merchants or mmiles.ca by the end of the business day in which you have made a purchase, please email nondelivery@mfood.ca so we can place a trace to your order. Please provide your sales trace number, time and date of the purchase and the method of payment. The sales trace number is located at the upper left hand corners of your receipt.
What is the refund policy?
All refunds will be initiated through Mfood.ca refund section. Mfood.ca will issue a request for refund ticket (Ticket) matching the SKU number for the item that you wish to return to a particular merchant. You will need to take the Ticket and the return item with the matching SKU number to the merchant’s business as each participating merchant has their own policy for refunds and returns. Please read their policies before making a purchase. The policy information for all sellers can be found on the refund policy button located directly below the price of each product.
How do I contact the merchant to adjust my order?
Any purchase adjustments to your order will be initiated through Mfood.ca purchase adjustments section. Mfood.ca will issue a request for purchase adjustment order (Order) to a particular merchant you wish to amend your order. You will need to email your adjustment to the merchant. Please state the Order trace number in the title of your email so the merchant search for your original purchase order to see how he can accommodate your request. The Order trace number is located at the upper left hand corner of the Order.
How would my request for adjustment affect the rest of my purchase order from other merchants?
Once an Order has been issued to you, Mfood.ca will automatically inform you that your purchase order from this particular merchant will no longer be fulfilled by the merchant and Mfood.ca will need to proceed with the delivery for the remainder of your purchase order.
Gift card type:
The Xover digital gift cards are sold in the form of unique digital codes through Xovercards.com.
When you use the gift card at checkout, the face value of the purchase will be subtracted from the gift card total value. The total purchase amount will include applicable taxes and shipping costs. Should the purchase value be greater than the gift card value, you would need to pay the difference.
Gift cards expiration:
The Xover digital gift cards will have the appropriate expiration date as dictated by the jurisdiction in which the gift cards are being used. In general, gift cards do not have an expiration date.
Gift cards purchase:
After the customer has selected the type and denomination for the gift card, the customers will pay for the purchase of the gift card with acceptable charge cards or Interac. Once the payment has been completed, Xover will electronically deliver the type of gift card to the customer’s designated email address. The customer will need to download the digital gift card and store the digital image safely in their electronic devices.
Where to purchase the gift cards?
Gift cards are available at participating merchant’s ecommerce store, mmarketplace.ca and mfood.ca.
How to redeem gift card?
To redeem the gift card, the customer will have to download the XoverPay digital wallet. The digital gift card will be then be linked to the wallet. At check out time, you can scan the QR quote associated with the wallet or simply indicate that you have the wallet registered in the designated device.
Do I have to pay tax on gift card purchases?
There is no tax associated with the purchase of any gift card. However, applicable taxes will apply to any product or service purchases made with a gift card.
Can I use gift cards between websites?
Yes. Gift cards can be used to buy products at participating merchants, mmercato.com, or mfood.ca ecommerce sites.
What happens to gift cards if participating merchant is no long in business or be part of mmercato.com or mfood.ca?
Gift cards won’t expire. Therefore, you can redeem the value of the gift card at the participating merchant’s ecommerce site. With Xover gift cards, you can redeem the value of the Xover gift cards at mmercato.com and mfood.ca.
Can I split my payment between a gift card and a credit card?
Yes. If the purchase total exceeds the value on their gift card, the consumer can pay the balance using standard payment methods including debit and/or credit cards.
Can I use less than the full value of my gift card?
Yes, only the cost of the grocery item and the associated taxes are deducted from the value of the gift card. Any residual amount left in the gift card can be used for your next purchase.
Do sale price and discount codes apply to purchase of gift cards?
No. Sales price and discount codes do not applied to the purchase of any gift cards.
Can I get a refund on the gift card?
Yes. You can cancel and obtain a refund on any unused gift cards. This offer does not apply to any partially used gift cards.
Can I refund purchases made with a gift card?
Yes. Any purchases made with a gift card can receive a refund. However the amount of the refund will be added to the gift card’s balance.
Can I buy multiple gift cards in one order?
Yes a customer can buy multiple gift cards and pay for them with standard payment methods at check out.
Can I restrict gift cards to certain items?
No. Gift cards can be used for any order of physical, digital, or service products.
Can I check the balance on the gift card?
The customer will receive an initial email with the gift card balance. Thereafter, the customer can check the balance of the gift card at _____________________.
What happens when I lose my gift card?
The customer will need to contact the merchant at _____________ or Xover at ___________ and a replacement gift card will be issued AFTER proper verifications have been completed and met.
Is the gift card reloadable?
Yes, customer can reload their gift card at ______________________.
Where can I use my digital Xover Gift Card?
The digital Xover Gift Card will be honoured by any and all participating merchants. The merchants will clearly identify the types of gift card they will accept at the Check Out.
Will I be receiving any Xover loyalty reward points?
The digital Xover loyalty reward points will be made available and honoured by any and all participating merchants. The merchants will clearly identify the types of loyalty reward points they will issue or accept at the Check Out.
